BKtel's Device Auto Configuration System DACS is especially designed for the management and monitoring of customer premises equiment (CPE) in Point-to-Point FTTH access networks. DACS allows an easy configuration and supervision of all CPEs in
the entire network, reducing the operational costs of the network operator to a minimum.
DACS is based on the follwing key principles: The central configuration server handles the
configuration of all CPE parameters, checks the connected CPEs periodically and stores all relevant data in a database. In addition remote firmware upgrades can be initiated.
The graphical user interface enables the network operator an easy configuration process. After an initial configuration only the customer specific data has to be added or edited. The connected devices will be configured automatically without any customer hardware assignment.
All BKtel Optical Network Units will be supported by default. CPEs of other vendors may be integrated on request.
Based on modern technology BKtel's Device Auto Configuration System can be used with any Linux operating system and every type of database.
