The ANGA Cable trade show in Cologne is definitely one of the most important annual events of the cable, broadband and multimedia community. In its tenth year the ANGA Cable opened its doors on May 27-29, 2008 in the hall 10 of the Cologne Exhibition Centre, presenting the visitors new innovations, developments and strategies as well as current and future trends. Including 12,000 national and international visitors and 369 exhibitors from 29 countries, this exhibition confirmed its role as the leading market place for the broadband industry in Europe.

The BKtel booth focused this year on new developments for Fiber-to-the-Home- and HFC- networks. The interest of the visitors was extraordinary.
An impressive exhibition display illustrated the BKtel FTTH system solutions with the newly developed equipment. The BKtel team was constantly busy with visitors to explain the flexibility of one-fibre or two-fibre solution as well as the integration the RF overlay in existing networks. The great resonance confirmed the growing demand for FTTH and BKtel’s position being an expert in this market.
Also HFC network operators had much news to see. The emphasis was on CWDM and DWDM solutions extending cable TV distribution networks to modern interactive broadband networks. BKtel was in the position to demonstrate these technologies and its forward-looking perspectives to the crowd of attracted visitors.

From our viewpoint the ANGA Cable 2008 was a succsessful and exceptionally well organized exhibition and we thank all visitors for their interest and the constructive conversations. We are looking forward to a further interesting business year with new projects and developments - and of course, the next ANGA Cable 2009.
