Equal to all fiber network termination units from BKtel, the XON600.SVC is equipped with an optical CATV receiver which can additionally be enhanced even to receive SAT-IF signals. The subscriber is not restricted to analogue PAL signals- by simply using common Set Top Boxes like terrestrial DVB-T, cable or satellite receivers - also digital TV is available. The complete BKtel XON series provides a sophisticated wall-mounting concept. At the position of the fiber optic access point a housing is installed that is designed to contain excess fiber and splices realizing a perfect passive optical network termination. This allows an easy pre-installation, even before the customer decides on the desired services. For commissioning, the CPE just has to be added. This facilitates also easy replacement of the equipment in case of repair or maintenance. But also a usage as a tabletop device is anticipated.
